The Forge is CineForge’s new front door: one box for everything you make. Tell it what you want — a product ad, a music video for your song, a trailer, an episode with a cast of ten — and it works out the shots, the characters and the cost, then shows you the plan and its price.

It keeps your cast looking the same from shot to shot, gives your characters voices, cuts a music video to your own track section by section, and starts any of our 80 proven templates in one tap.

You choose how hands-on to be. See the plan and its price before anything is bought, let it build straight away inside the budget ceiling you set, or have it shoot a scene a few ways and pick the take you like best. Most jobs keep running in the background, so you can close the tab and come back to finished work.

The Forge isn’t limited to single clips. Ask it for a trailer, a short film or a full episode — even ten characters and thirty minutes — and it breaks the story into scenes, plans every shot with one cast and one look, and shows you the plan and its price.

Writing a series? Attach your scripts — Word documents or plain text, the whole season at once, with your character bible — and it plans each episode from the page. When one episode is done, carry everything into the next: the same cast, the same look, and the next script, picked for you.

Scenes run up to thirty seconds each on Seedance 2.5, and when they are finished the Forge cuts them together into one film, or one file per episode, with your song laid under a music video instead of each clip’s own sound.

The alpha is deliberately small: a handful of invited testers, each with credits to spend and codes to pass on to people they trust. It is closed because the point is depth, not numbers — every tester should be someone who will tell us when something is wrong.

Expect rough edges. Tell us about them; that is the entire job.

Week one's brief is Make It Me: put yourself in the scene — you are the lead. One brief a week, seven days to enter, and every entry lands in the public gallery.

First place takes 2,500 credits, second 1,000, third 500, and each podium place collects Forge Trophies. Winners are called when the week closes, and the next brief goes up the same day.

Seedance 2.5 now renders at 1080p. Until today the thirty-second model topped out at 720p, so the longest takes in the app could not be the sharpest ones — now a full scene, entrance to reaction, comes back at proper full HD.

The honest numbers: 1080p on 2.5 lists at 284.31 credits a second, and to launch it every 1080p second is 28% off until 17 September — 204.7 credits a second. A full thirty-second 1080p scene lands around 6,141 credits during the sale, against about 8,529 at list. As always, the model picker on every scene shows the per-second rate before you spend anything.

The way to use it: iterate at 480p, where 2.5 is 51.5 credits a second, and spend 1080p on the take you keep. The 480p and 720p rates have not moved — this discount is the 1080p introduction, and it ends 17 September.

Seedance 2.5 is live in CineForge. The headline is duration: a single generation now runs up to thirty seconds, where 2.0 stopped at fifteen. That is the difference between a shot and a scene — a character can enter, do something, and land a reaction without the cut being forced on you by the model.

Motion holds together better across that longer take. Camera moves stay committed instead of drifting, and characters keep their faces through movement rather than melting at the halfway mark, which is the failure that made long 2.0 takes unusable.

It costs more per second than 2.0, and it should: at 480p it is 51.5 credits a second against 35.15 for 2.0 Standard, and 115.5 against 75.6 at 720p. A thirty-second 480p shot is about 1,545 credits. That is real money, so 2.5 is a choice per scene rather than a new default — the model picker on every scene shows the per-second rate before you spend anything.

Two things worth knowing. It renders 854x480 at 480p where 2.0 renders 864x496, so a mixed-model project can end up with two slightly different frame sizes. And longer takes mean longer waits: budget a few minutes for a thirty-second render rather than the under-a-minute you may be used to.

The two iteration tiers are discounted for launch month. Seedance 2.0 Mini is 60% off — 7.04 credits a second at 480p, down from 17.6 — which puts a thirty-second draft at about 211 credits. If you are feeling out an idea, blocking a scene, or burning through variations, Mini is now close to free.

Seedance 2.0 Fast is 25% off: 21.08 credits a second at 480p, down from 28.1, and 45.38 at 720p, down from 60.5. Fast is the middle path — better motion than Mini, well under Standard's rate — and the discount makes it the default for anything that is not the final take.

Both discounts apply automatically at every resolution, no code needed, and the discounted rate is what the model picker shows before you spend. The sale runs until 7 September.
